QR codes for restaurant and café menus

A menu QR code works best when it links to a fast, mobile friendly page rather than a huge PDF. Customers are normally scanning at a table on a phone, so readability and loading speed matter.

If you do link to a PDF, make sure the file URL remains stable. A permanent menu page can be more practical than uploading a new file each time.

Important: “Never expires” refers to the static QR code itself. A linked web page, social account, phone number or other destination can still change or disappear.

No. A static QR code has no built-in expiry date. If it points to a website, that destination still needs to remain available.

Do I need an account?

No. This generator creates the QR code in your browser and does not require an account.

Can I print the QR code?

Yes. Test the downloaded code at the intended print size before producing a large quantity.

Can I change the link after printing?

Not with a static QR code. The destination is encoded directly in the image. To change it, create a new QR code or use a redirect URL that you control.
