Static QR codes do not expire
A static QR code stores the destination or information directly inside the code. There is no timer, subscription or expiry date built into the QR image.
Why some QR codes stop working
A QR code can still scan correctly while the destination no longer works. Common causes include a deleted web page, a changed website address, an expired campaign link or a redirect service that has been switched off.
Static QR codes are the safest choice for long term print
If you are printing a QR code on packaging, menus, cards, signs or leaflets, a static code can be a good choice when the destination will not need to change.
